Chadderton Rifle & Pistol Club loses a Lifetime Member.

Sadly Dave Flannery passed away in January. Dave was a member for over 25 years. Most of this was served as Treasurer, Secretary and President as well as Police Liason Officer.

Dave was one of the backbones of the club especially after the pistol ban, from this ban he helped set up the clay pigeon side of the club.

Dave will be missed by Committee and Club Members alike.

Another very sad loss for Chadderton Rifle and Pistol Club

We are sad to report that our club safety officer Brian Doherty has passed away after a short illness. At only 59 it seems far too soon. Brian was a keen shooter for most of his life and devoted a lot of time and effort to ensuring that the club ranges and clay shoot were run safely for the benefit of our members (not always an easy task!) We will all miss his presence on the range and the clays where he could always be relied on for a bit of banter. I'm sure all our thoughts go out to Gill and family.

Brian's funeral will be held at Oldham Crematorium in Hollingworth Cemetry off Roman Road on Friday 27th October at 14.00 hrs.

Our Grand Christmas Raffle went very well. Chadderton Rifle and Pistol Club raised a total of £1740.42, all of which went directly to The North West Air Ambulance. We would like to thank all involved for their generosity with the prizes they donated and the huge amount of tickets that everyone bought which made this raffle such a success.
